We are currently looking for a Head of Operations - Retail for our Plow & Hearth retail stores! The Head of Operations oversees overall store operations and profitability with responsibility for sales results, P&L Management and customer satisfaction for 3 retail locations.
This position entails championing Company initiatives and ensuring the retail stores uphold brand values, standards and policies.
Primary Function and Responsibility The Head of Operations oversees overall store operations and profitability with responsibility for sales results, P&L Management and customer satisfaction for 3 retail locations.
This position entails championing Company initiatives and ensuring the retail stores uphold brand values, standards and policies.
Core Functions and Competencies:
Responsible for all aspects of managing retail stores, including store operations, strategic planning, event planning, loss prevention, and budgeting/expense controls.
Responsible for the execution of key retail metrics to standards including Sales Targets, Conversion, Address Capture, Email Conversion, and Customer Service scores.
Responsible for P&L management, including top-line and bottom-line performance:
Specific emphasis on managing labor, refunds, total gross margin, and supplies within budget Deliver World Class Customer Service and handle all customer service related issues.
Assist in setting marketing and merchandising strategy and ensure high level of execution.
Responsible for maintaining execution of sales audit controls in all stores, including daily paperwork, receiving/returns, inventory controls, and other paperwork.
Provide reporting to the Accounting department as requested.
Responsible for maintaining the Plow & Hearth image in the display and layout of merchandise.
Responsible for operations execution specifically related to Physical Inventory controls.
Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of store teams with an emphasis on development of store personnel for additional growth and responsibilities.
Responsible for the execution of Human Resources initiatives Responsible for maintaining staff motivation Oversee product ordering & inventory replenishment Plan and execute store events Some travel required.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications 7
years of retail management experience required, with previous multi-unit retail management experience preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal communications skills Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with advanced computer skills Able to navigate MS Office suite comfortably, with user experience in various POS and payroll systems Team player who is highly motivated and able to work independently and under pressure Positive attitude and willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to stoop, squat, bend and climb ladders Ability to lift 50 lbs Job Type:
Full-time.
